For 16 years, Jenny showed up to work at UC Davis Health and cared for some of the sickest people in the building. She spent her career on the cardiology floor, learning what it means to hold someone's wellbeing in your hands and take that responsibility seriously. She is, as her nursing school friends once called her, hardcore. All in. All the time. Especially when she knows it will serve someone else.
She turned 40 and a nurse friend offered her a face laser treatment. She said yes. It took a few sessions before she understood what was actually happening. Jenny never had good skin. She had lived with that the way a lot of women do, quietly, and mostly without question. But something shifted. The texture changed. The way she looked in the mirror changed. And more than anything, the way she felt changed. She wanted that for everyone she knew. That is, honestly, just how Jenny works.
Before she opened Alchemy, she visited three different medical spas in Sacramento to understand what was out there. She left all three of them feeling like a time slot in a well-oiled machine. The people didn't look the way she wanted to look. Nobody asked how she was doing. She felt uncomfortable and unseen, and she filed that feeling away.Then she built the opposite of that.
Alchemy Aesthetics is the place Jenny wished she had walked into. It's warm and unhurried. Appointments don't feel rushed because they're not. Jenny wants to know how you're doing, how your kids are, what's going on in your life, because she understands that how you feel on the inside shows up on your skin. That's not small talk. That's her nursing instinct at work.
She holds a Master of Science in Nursing and brings 18 years of clinical experience to every consultation and treatment, 16 of them at the bedside of critically ill patients. She believes in science, data, research, and FDA-approved protocols. As one of her clients put it: no fluff and buff at Alchemy. That's accurate. Jenny will tell you what works, why it works, and what the process actually looks like, because she knows that understanding the plan is what makes you trust it.
She also believes, deeply, that aesthetics is for everyone. Every gender, every skin tone, every age, every concern. The world of aesthetics can feel intimidating and exclusive, and Jenny built Alchemy specifically to change that. You don't need to already look a certain way to walk through the door. You just need to be ready to feel like yourself again.
